NORWEGIAN LITERATURE BOOK DISCUSSION GROUP* @ 2PM
The 2nd Saturday book discussion group is gathered around the table in the beautiful Grieg Lodge Library to discuss a variety of classic and contemporary fiction and non-fiction works by Norwegians & Norwegian Americans. You can enjoy and participate in the conversation even if you haven't read the book. Take a seat! Coffee's on! Remember, you can now search the Grieg Lodge Library catalog online at www.gllib.org
MUSIC EVENTS & PROGRAMS
From Norwegian choral singing and classical concerts to folk music and the latest Norwegian jazz, Grieg Lodge has a long, rich history of music events and programs. Recent shows have included concert pianist Knut Erik Jensen, the Norwegian folkdance troupe Leikarringen BUL Kongsberg, and the 35-member accordion band Lindesness Trekkspillklub. If you like to sing, join our Norwegian chorus. We’re practicing for our Centennial celebration in 2010.
LEFSE MAKERS ROLL! MONDAYS (September through November) - 9:00 am-Noon
Beginning in September, it's lefse season at the Lodge. More rollers always welcome. If you've got a drop of Nordic blood in you, lefse making is considered an essential skill. So don your apron and join the crew. We're rolling every week toward the holidays - and the lutefisk dinner! There's nothing like fresh hot lefse.
