Norsk Conversation Group | Second Monday | 7-8:30pm

This drop-in conversation group welcomes participants no matter where they are on their learning journey.  Whether you are an absolute rank beginner or a native speaker, this is a place where you can hear this beautiful language spoken and engage to your level of comfort (it is OK to just listen).  Meet with other people to have fun speaking norsk and sharing learning resources. Lodge Meeting | First Thursday (except Jul & Aug) | 5:30 -8:30pm

The Oslo Lounge opens at 5:30 pm for a pre-meeting social hour with a light supper and member prices at the bar.  The meeting starts at 6:30 pm, after which we gather again for dessert.

Ladies Social Club | Second Thursday | 11:30 am - 1:30pm

The Ladies Social Club (LSC) meets monthly for lunch and a brief business meeting.  The mission of the LSC is to provide support for lodge activities and raise funds to purchase miscellaneous items for the lodge.  And, of course, they make certain to roll lefse every summer for our annual Lutefisk Dinner.  All are welcome.  Contact Marilyn Lewis, 503.253.4252 or mmltakkforsist@gmail.com to learn the location of each meeting.  Sometimes we meet at a restaurant, other times at a member’s home.

Cultural Happy Hour | Third Thursday | 5-8pm

Join us in the Oslo Lounge for continued viewing of Billionaire Island, a satirical dramedy about Norway’s fish-farming industry, filmed on the island of Frøya.  Doors open at 5 pm, the film starts at 5:30.  Drinks are at member prices.

TGIFF | Fourth Friday (except Nov & Dec) | 5:30-8:30pm                                      

TGIFF means “Thank Goodness it’s Fourth Friday” and it’s a chance to come to the lodge and just relax and socialize.  We meet in the Oslo Lounge and drinks are available at member prices.  A light supper is available for a suggested donation of $5.  Lots of fun and good conversation, and non-members are welcome.  Supervised activities in our Barnerom for the youngsters.  It’s a good way to get acquainted with Grieg Lodge.  

Book Discussion Group | Second Saturday (except Jun, Jul, Aug & Dec) | 2-4pm

Gather in our beautiful Library for an always thought provoking and engaging conversation.  The group reads both fiction and non-fiction about Scandinavia or by Scandinavian authors.   Contact Audrey Webster, abw1@comcast.net, for a copy of the current reading list.

Viking Pancake Breakfast | Second Sunday (except Jul, Aug, Nov & Dec) | 8:30am - 12pm

Our all-you-can-eat Viking pancakes, served with scrambled eggs, sausage links, fresh fruit, lingonberry jam, orange juice, and bottomless cups of coffee and tea (cocoa for the kids).  Adults are $12, kids ages 3-10 are $6, and children under age 3 are free.  Come enjoy the best breakast in town, served with Norwegian hospitality.  Each month we donate 20% of our sales to a local school or community organization.
